Harmony Beyond Borders: Ustad Asghar Husain’s Melodic Journey 

The entire world listened to a violin in New Delhi’s Hyderabad House’s magnificent atmosphere. The song mesmerised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, PM Modi’s little pause revealed a fascinating chapter in Ustad Asghar Husain’s life. 

An Unbelievable Request: A Musical Tribute 

Recalling the beautiful evening of 2019, Ustad Husain recounted with his surprising interaction with Prime Minister Modi’s request. He was surprised by the pause but realised it was a once-in-a-lifetime chance. As an homage to Mahatma Gandhi’s beloved song and to his musical talent, PM Modi’s request to perform Vaishnav Jan Bhajan touched him. It was a moment that surpassed the confines of performance, leaving a poignant memory in the annals of his career. 

Passionate Journey: Tabla to Violin 

His father, Dilli Gharana Tabla master Ustad Anwar Husain, influenced Ustad Husain’s musical career. From the early age of 12, the charm of the violin grabbed his heart, guiding him towards a lifetime love of the instrument. Guided by prominent masters like as Gauhar Ali Khan and Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan, he polished his art, culminating in his maiden performance at All India Radio. His love affair with the violin, founded in its flexibility and worldwide appeal, continues to motivate his devotion to artistic excellence. 

Music: The Universal Language of Healing 

For Ustad Husain, music transcends the bounds of religion, acting as a medium for spiritual expression and unification. With a repertoire extending from Krishna Bhajans to Sufi songs, he dismantles obstacles and creates unity via his art. Embracing the concept of lifelong learning, he is humbled by the transformational power of music, seen in the emotional testimony of listeners moved by his tunes. From royal audiences to virtual followers, his music resonates as a light of hope and consolation, transcending borders and connecting hearts. 

In the vast symphony of life, Ustad Asghar Husain continues to compose melodies that connect with the spirit, crafting a tapestry of harmony that transcends boundaries and unifies mankind in its universal language – music.
