Despite attempts to instigate Indian Muslims following the Babri Masjid and Gujarat riots, their long-term resilience prevailed. Even earlier, during the 1980s Mujahideen movement in Afghanistan and present-day conflicts, the participation of Indian Muslims remained minimal.
In stark contrast to Western Asian nations, where a significant proportion joins foreign wars, the peaceful coexistence and limited engagement of Indian Muslims reflect a unique and intriguing aspect of the nation’s cultural and democratic fabric.
