Manuwara Khatoon: A Mother’s Determination to Provide for Her Family

Manuwara Khatoon, a mother of four from Goalpara, Assam, has struggled to provide for her family for the past 15 years. Despite facing numerous challenges, she has not lost hope and has continued to work hard to support her children. Life after Losing her Husband:

Manuwara Khatoon’s life changed when she lost her husband 15 years ago. With four young children to support, Manuwara had to find a way to provide for her family. She started making bags using a sewing machine and selling them in the market. This venture’s income helped feed her family, but more was needed to ensure a comfortable life.

Struggling in a Dilapidated Shanty:

Manuwara and her family live in a dilapidated hut in Goalpara. Despite the difficult living conditions, Manuwara has never given up. Her sewing machine has been her constant companion, and she has used it to create a better life for her family. However, selling bags alone was not enough to sustain the family, and Manuwara had to find other ways to make ends meet.

Expanding Business with Muri Production:

Recently, Manuwara has started making Muri, a popular snack in Assam, and selling it in shops. This new venture has helped to increase her income, and Manuwara is proud of her achievements. She now has a small business that helps to support her family, and she is determined to continue to expand it.

Education and Shah Alam’s Contribution:

Manuwara’s elder son, Shah Alam, has been a pillar of support for the family. After regaining consciousness from a severe illness, he started working hard to reduce the burden on his mother. Unfortunately, he had to leave his studies to support the family financially. However, he understands the importance of education and is determined to ensure his younger siblings complete their studies.
