Exciting Adventure at 58: Sabir Hussain’s Moving Journey

Even though he is 58 years old, Sabir Hussain is still an avid and passionate rider. Even though Hussain is getting close to 60 years old, his desire for excitement still soars. After completing several difficult bike trips, including two single trips to India’s most remote and difficult landscape.

Hussain’s View: Age Is Not a Problem

In an exclusive chat with Awaz-The Voice Assam, Sabir Hussain gave his views on age and experience. He stressed that while age may cause limits for some, bikers can follow their interest well beyond 60, provided they keep physical health. Hussain says that the key is to keep your mind and body flexible. He says, “It’s not easy, but it’s definitely not impossible. Always remember, your victory awaits beyond your fears.”

Solo Expedition Chronicles: Hussain’s Epic Journeys

On May 20, 2013, Sabir Hussain went on a solo journey, starting from Vaishali on the Delhi-UP border, with Turtuk as his objective. Covering an amazing distance of 1,600 kilometres one way, his trip took him through Ambala, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Jammu, Rajouri, Shopian, Srinagar, Sonamarg, and Ladakh. Accompanied solely by his trusty Suzuki 150cc Fiero, packed with saddlebags and necessary supplies like tools, spare parts, shoes, and water bottles, Hussain faced every task that came his way.

Triumph Amidst Challenges: Chronicles of “Battlefields & Paradise

The struggles, victories, and deep satisfaction of Hussain’s 2013 journey found meaning in his debut book “Battlefields & Paradise”, released by Westland. Within its pages, Hussain not only tells his exciting trip but also digs into the socio-political landscape of Kashmir, giving insights gleaned from the strong hearts of its everyday people.
