Jewish and Mumbai donors support Mamoon Akhtar’s education campaign in West Bengal

Mamoon Akhtar, a resident of Howrah in West Bengal, launched a campaign to provide quality English education to underprivileged children. Facing funding challenges, his initiative received a significant boost from two Jewish donors.

An American diplomat’s wife in Kolkata, who is Jewish, donated Rs 10,000 after reviewing his work, while a defunct school on the land of a childless Jewish couple was revived to become his first big school. The next donor was Ramesh Kachulia, a Mumbai-based businessman. These donations helped realize Mamoon Akhtar‘s vision of educating children in Tikiapara, Howrah.
