Suhail Lulaniya’s Journey: Rediscovering Love for His Country Abroad

Suhail Lulaniya, a Palghar, Mumbai, Maharashtra resident, embarked on a journey to Melbourne, Australia, in March 2013. His purpose was to work and pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology while employed part-time at Urbanest Company.

During a conversation with Awaz-the Voice in Mumbai, where he had returned for a break, 30-year-old Suhail reflected upon his experience living abroad. He revealed that living away from his homeland had transformed his perception. Suhail admitted that he often witnessed numerous flaws and shortcomings while residing in India. He frequently criticized government decisions and encountered various social issues.

However, his time abroad had granted him a fresh perspective. Having lived abroad for an extended period, Suhail could relate to the sentiment expressed by Rakesh Sharma, an Indian astronaut who famously said, “India without a doubt looks like the best country from space.”
