The proper training in this cultivation is given to the mushroom cultivator cum operator and farmers. Due to mushrooms’ unique taste and nutritious value, the market for mushrooms is growing remarkably snappy. There are hundreds of success stories of mushroom cultivation businesses in Kashmir. This scheme is proving to be very good for educated youth, especially girls, who are earning money by producing mushrooms sitting at home. The Kashmir government is encouraging and promoting mushroom cultivation so that more and more people can take advantage of this scheme and earn a livelihood.
