The Perfect Guidance of the Prophet on Food

The Prophet Muhammad’s guidance on food was perfect. He would say “Bismillah” (in the Name of Allah) before putting his hand in the food and encouraging others to do the same. He taught that when eating, one should mention the name of Allah.

The Prophet never criticized any food. If he liked it, he would eat it; if he did not, he would leave it without any negative comments. He said, “I do not feel like eating this.” This teaching is narrated in both al-Bukhari and Muslim, emphasizing the importance of following the Prophet’s guidance on food.
