Kashmiri Youth Innovator Develops Life-Saving Drone for Medical Emergencies

Abaan Habib, a resilient Kashmiri youth from Srinagar‘s Zakura area, has unveiled his extraordinary creation: a life-saving drone designed to transport blood for medical emergencies between hospitals. Motivated by the devastating 2014 floods that wrought havoc on Srinagar, Abaan dedicated five years to perfecting the technology.

Successful tests in Himachal Pradesh, connecting 20-25 hospitals over a 70 km distance, and inter-state connectivity from Shimla to Chandigarh have proven the drone’s potential.

Abaan’s message to fellow youth is to follow their passion, as their dedication and ingenuity can usher in meaningful change in society. The drone promises to revolutionize healthcare access and save countless lives.
