Akshayvat Corridor Will Be Ready For Tourists & Pilgrims Before Maha Kumbh 2025

The Akshayvat corridor is set to become a focal point for pilgrims attending the Maha Kumbh in 2025 in Prayagraj. Stretching from the sacred Akshayvat tree, also known as the “immortal tree,” situated on the banks of the Yamuna River within the Akbar Fort in the Sangam area, the corridor will lead to Saraswati Koop via Patalpuri, enhancing the spiritual experience for all who visit.

This ambitious project is expected to be completed well in advance of June 2024, ensuring that it is ready to welcome tourists and pilgrims. The Smart City has allocated a substantial budget of approximately Rs 18 crore for the construction of this corridor. A recent meeting between the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) and army officers has further expedited the project’s progress.

The corridor will not only serve a practical purpose but will also be a work of beauty and art. Renovations to railings and flooring on both sides of the pathway, attractive lighting, LED screens, façade lights, and a sound system will adorn the corridor, enhancing the overall experience.
