Tackling New Year resolutions and Some Myths about Health and Nutrition

According to the specialists in the sphere of health and wellness, the subject of proper nutrition becomes critically important by the year of 2025. So there is no better time to demystify some of the major myths that most people get caught up in when they are looking to attain health, fitness, and beauty.

Know Your Carbs and Water

There are several myths, one of them hinges on the assumption that carbs are actually bad for you. These professionals opine that carbohydrates are very essential for the brain and energy. It should be used in moderation and the right type of carbs such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables. These myths may cause label fears and artificial eliminations, or even over restrictions, of carbohydrates in the diet.

Such a myth includes the one that people should drink eight glasses of water in a day. But human beings have different requirements depending on factors such as the level of physical activity, climatic condition, health status among others. There are no set tolerances for either under-hydration or overhydration: Excessive under-hydration can be dangerous as is excessive overhydration. When it comes to receiving signals from the body about hydration, it is especially important.

Another myth being peddled by the skincare industry is that only high-priced creams work best. Substances do not have to be cheap to be effective; they must be compatible with the skin of an individual as reflected by the texture and tone of the skin.

Addressing Nutritional Myths

Regarding the unsustainable view of every rise in blood glucose as toxic, is also challenged. Gurus states that hyperglycemia is an ordinary physiological response to digestion. This however does not mean that an occasional extreme or even regular spike is dangerous to the human body as it could be an indication of underlying health conditions in the body.

In summary, understanding these myths can lead to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle in the New Year.
