Indian Coast Guard Recruits Assistant Commandant

The Indian Coast Guard is currently recruiting Assistant Commandants for the 01/2024 batch. The online application form-filling process starts from January 25th till February 9th, 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to serve the country and meet the qualifications.

Application Process

Candidates must fill out the online application form, submit the necessary documents, and pay the fee. The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS candidates is 250 rupees, while SC and ST candidates are exempt from paying the price. The application fee can be paid online through a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Eligibility Criteria

The Indian Coast Guard is looking to recruit 71 Assistant Commandants for the 01/2024 batch. Of these, 50 posts are for General Duty (GD) and Commercial Pilot (CPL) SSA, 20 posts are for Technical Engineering/Electronics, and one position is for Law Entry. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for the branch they wish to apply.

To be eligible for the General Duty (GD) branch, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks in all semesters/years. They must have studied Maths and Physics as subjects in the 10+2 level examination. The age limit for this branch is between 01/07/1998 and 30/06/2002.

Available Posts & Branch-Wise Eligibility

Additionally, for the Commercial Pilot (CPL) SSA branch, candidates must pass the 10+2 Intermediate Examination with 60% marks and hold a valid Commercial Pilot License from DGCA. The age limit for this branch is between 01/07/1998 and 30/06/2004. Furthermore, candidates must have a BE/B for the Technical Mechanical branch. Tech Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Industrial and Production, Metallurgy, Design, Aeronautical, or Aerospace with a minimum of 60% marks. Additionally, they must also have studied Maths and Physics as subjects in the 10+2 level examination. The age limit for this branch is between 01/07/1998 and 30/06/2002.

Responsibilities & Opportunities

For the Technical Electrical/Electronics branch, candidates must have an Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Instrumentation and Control, Electronics and Communication, Power Engineering, or Power Electronics with a minimum of 60% marks. They must also have studied Maths and Physics as subjects in the 10+2 level examination. The age limit for this branch is between 01/07/1998 and 30/06/2002.

For the Law Entry branch, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum of 60% marks. The age limit for this branch is between 01/07/1994 and 30/06/2002.
