Zaiba Aapa Institute: A Beacon Of Hope For Specially-Abled Children In South Kashmir

Zaiba Aapa Institute of Inclusive Education is the first and only school for specially-abled children in South Kashmir. Established in 2008, the school aims to uplift and train specially-abled children neglected by society. The school was founded by Javed Ahmad Tak, who is disabled due to a spinal cord injury.

Javed Ahmad Tak: The Man Behind Zaiba Aapa Institute

Javed Ahmad Tak, a resident of Bijbehara town in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, founded Zaiba Aapa Institute of Inclusive Education. Despite his disability, Javed has dedicated his life to helping specially-abled children. He cannot sit or stand due to the weakness in the lower part of his body caused by his spinal cord injury. Despite his physical limitations, Javed has won several national and state awards, including the Padma Shri award for his exceptional education and social service work.
