Initiated in 2019 amidst the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, artisans from the villages of Makrana in Udaipur district embarked on a creative journey to manifest the grand vision of a temple adorned with sculptures of Hindu deities.

Ram Kishan Singh, a third-generation sculptor from Makrana, shares his enthusiasm for contributing to the construction of the Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, emphasizing the message of brotherhood and communal harmony.

The temple, constructed by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, showcases exquisite marble carvings crafted from over 25,000 stone pieces by skilled artisans from Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming address to the Indian community at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on February 13th, followed by his participation in the dedication ceremony at the BAPS temple the next day, signifies a momentous occasion for the Indian diaspora.
