Mubarak Mandi Palace – Jammu and Kashmir

Mubarak Mandi Palace is a historic palace in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The palace was the royal residence of the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir from the Dogra dynasty. It was their main seat till 1925, when Maharaja Hari Singh moved to the Hari Niwas Palace in the northern part of Jammu.

The palace complex comprises several buildings, including the Durbar Hall, the Sheesh Mahal, and the Rani Mandap, surrounded by gardens and courtyards.

The palace is designed in the style of both Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The Dogra Art Museum is housed in the Pink Hall and has miniature paintings of Kangra, Jammu, and Basholi Hill Schools. The Sheesh Mahal is a palace of mirrors, with walls and ceilings adorned with intricate mirror work. The Rani Mandap is a decorated pavilion used for royal functions and ceremonies. Mubarak Mandi Palace is a significant cultural and historical landmark in Jammu and Kashmir and is open to the public as a museum. It is a popular tourist attraction for its beautiful architecture and rich history.
