Ranbir Kapoor On His Career, Dream Role And More

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently revealed that his role as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayan”, an upcoming movie, is a dream role for him. Attending the 4th Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, he spoke excitedly about this particular role. He also said playing Lord Ram comes with great challenge and many risks. Ranbir also said he likes to take risks in his career, as being on the safer side can be boring. His big-release ‘Animal’ too is a risky affair as it earned mixed reviews.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Thoughts on “Animal”

In the case of “Animal” — critics have said it’s the film is too violent or misogynistic — Ranbir Kapoor said he was frightened after reading the script. Before this, he was mostly known for romantic roles, and he described the experience of making the film as a difficult one. But he took on the challenge and was pleasantly surprised by how he did in the film. He encouraged the audience to think of “Animal” as an emotional tale of a father and son, not just a violent one.

Reflections on a Career and Plans for the Future

Ranbir Kapoor also spoke about his upcoming movies, including Bhansali’s “Love and War,” describing the filmmaker as a genius. He is simultaneously working on “Animal Part 2,” with the subtitle “Animal Park,” and a sequel to “Brahmastra.” His own grandfather, Raj Kapoor, was packing them in at the local theater at a young age, he said. Following this, Ranbir added that his family worked a lot in the industry, but he strived for everything himself. He revealed that every day he reads books and watches films to develop his craft. The biggest achievement is the love from the audience, and there is no recipe to make a good film — Rather than that, there is no sure-shot recipe.
