Abdul Rehman Wani embarked on his extraordinary journey into stone carving at the tender age of 10. He has dedicated himself to perfecting this ancient art form for over half a century. Overcoming Adversities

The Wani family, facing financial constraints, heavily relied on stone carving for sustenance. With vivid recollection, Abdul Rehman successfully persuaded his father to let him work outside their home, while his father continued working at home. Driven by determination, Abdul Rehman sought to enhance his skills in stone carving. His efforts paid off as he began earning a significant daily wage of Rs 2, providing much-needed support for their family during challenging times.
