The Indian Air Force invites young and dynamic individuals to join under the Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026 Batch through the Agnipath scheme. Application Fees:
General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹550
SC/ST Candidates: ₹550
The fees can be paid online by one of the methods, which involves debit card, credit card or through net banking. Make sure you pay within the right time to finalize the application.

Eligibility Criteria for Agniveer Vayu Intake

The Indian Air Force has set clear eligibility criteria based on academic qualifications and physical standards.

For Science Subjects:

  • Passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English, scoring at least 50% in aggregate and 50% in English.
  • OR a 3-year Engineering Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, or related fields with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
  • OR a 2-Year Vocational Course with Physics and Math as non-vocational subjects, scoring 50% overall and 50% in English.

For Other Subjects:

  • Passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
  • OR a 2-Year Vocational Course with the same score requirements.

Physical Standards:

  • Minimum Height: 152.5 cm
  • Chest Expansion: 5 cm

Benefits of Joining as an Agniveer Vayu

The Agniveer Vayu scheme offers significant benefits to recruits:

  • Age Group: Open for candidates aged 17.5 to 21 years, allowing early entry into a respected field.
  • Four-Year Tenure: A unique opportunity to serve the armed forces and develop skills.
  • Life Insurance: Agniveers are covered under a ₹48 lakh life insurance policy during their tenure.
  • Skill Certificate: On completion, a certificate showcasing skills gained during service is provided, aiding future career prospects.
  • Leave Policy: Includes 30 days of annual leave and medical leave based on professional advice.

Pay Structure:

  • Year 1: ₹30,000 (In-hand: ₹21,000)
  • Year 2: Rs. 33,000 (In-hand: Rs. 23,100)
  • Year 3: Rs.36,500 (In-hand: Rs.25,580)
  • Year 4: ₹40,000 (In-hand: ₹28,000)

After completing the tenure, Agniveer Vayu receive an ₹11.71 lakh Seva Nidhi Package and up to 25% are absorbed into the regular Air Force cadre.
