Artists Capture The Essence of Kashmir In ‘Wadiyan’ Camp

In Srinagar, the ‘Wadiyan‘ camp brought together 40 renowned artists from India for a week-long creative sojourn. Organized by the Kalaarambh art foundation, it fostered inter-state artistic collaboration, translating Kashmir experiences onto canvas.

Nishikant Palande, Kalaarambh’s founder, emphasized the mission to encapsulate Kashmir’s allure on canvases. The participating artists ventured into scenic locales such as Pahalgam, Doodhpathri, and Gulmarg, each offering a rich tapestry of inspiration.

Beyond picturesque landscapes, the camp fostered camaraderie and unity among artists, who found solidarity in their interactive paintings. With a nod to Kashmir’s architectural marvels, local populace, and natural splendour, the artists channelled their creativity through various forms.Enrichment went beyond visual arts; the camp enveloped participants in a symphony of experiences. Classical music, poetry recitals, local folklore, and lectures on Indian contemporary art and history further kindled their creative flames.
