Curve Electrics: Starting a Green Revolution of Transport in Kashmir

Two young Kashmiri entrepreneurs, Sheikh Yameen and Zubair Bhat, co-founders of Curve Electrics, showcased their eco-friendly urban transportation startup on Shark Tank India-4. Although they did not get any funding, the unique business plans received praise and focus which proves their dedication to sustainability. E, although they started operating in the summer Of 2023, Curve Electrics has made its impact by reducing the 145 metric tones of carbon emission which is like planting 7,200 trees.

The signing of more organizations in the concept of Eco-Friendly services

The company began with the 50 e-bike at 11 docking stations in Srinagar with the help of Srinagar Smart City Limited. The medium of commuting has now become a fuller fleet of 150 bicycles, not only catering to the city of Srinagar but to the Central University of Kashmir, situated in Ganderbal as well as to the Mata Kheer Bhawani shrine situated in Tullamulla. They have provided 55,000 rides in the last one and half years and have traveled approximately 720,000 kilometers. Yameen also shared their desire and plan to open more outlets in other hilly stations like Shimla and Mussoorie besides college canteens across India. They have listed 1,400 campuses they plan to offer their services in.

Under their episode in Shark Tank India, Yameen and Bhat had heard from the panel, this was from other experts in the industry such as Anupam Mittal as well as Vineeta Singh. While the sharks ultimately decided not to invest, their praise for the entrepreneurs was heartfelt. About it Peyush Bansal wrote what they do well – much attention to the client and Vineeta mentioned that the main difficulty is cooperation with local municipalities for expansion. Yameen and Bhat did not get a deal, however, they left the show feeling motivated with words of encouragement for their business.
