MRM Calls for Unity and Development

The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), which is the minority wing of the RSS, has decided that India should focus on development and harmony instead of getting involved in temple-mosque disputes. This decision can be seen to back up the recent declarations of the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat where he stated that there was no need to search for mosques that is hidden under temples. The MRM passed this resolution unanimously during its 23rd foundation day celebration.

MRM : Creating rapport with other communities

The MRM praised Bhagwat’s views, stating that they promote brotherhood and unity among the 1.42 billion people of India. The forum called on political parties to desist from exploiting these vices to advance their selfish gains and to embark on solving problems likely to cause unrest in society. They also thereby called on the Muslims in Sambhal as well as Bangladesh to consider Bhagwat’s opinions seriously. The MRM emphasized that his statements are not against any community but aim to unite society and strengthen India.

MRM : Analyzing Minority Rights and Development

The MRM expressed concern about the treatment of minorities in Bangladesh and called on the Bangladeshi government to protect the rights of Hindus, Buddhists, and other minorities. They told Muslims especially in sensitive areas of Uttar Pradesh to stop getting involved with the political machinations and the call for retaining peace in the region. This meeting was presided by Indresh Kumar who is the guide of this Forum The major and majority members of this forum were present in this meeting and there are number of discussions and finalizations of strategies, future proceedings and the national concerns were held there.

The MRM also supported the Waqf Board Amendment Bill introduced in Parliament, calling it essential for the development of Muslims and the country. The MRM stated that India’s unity and communal harmony should be celebrated like a festival. They used to encourage minorities to be more positive and be part of the process of erecting the nation.
