PM Modi Calls for Human-Centric Approach at G20 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the G20 Summit in New Delhi, emphasizing the need for a human-centric approach to tackle global challenges. He highlighted the importance of the 21st century in finding innovative solutions to age-old problems. He called for unity to address trust deficits caused by conflicts between Ukraine and Russia.

In his opening remarks at the G20 Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital, PM Modi urged the world to transform the global trust deficit into one of trust and reliance. He invoked the motto “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” (Together with All, Development for All, Trust of All, Efforts by All) as a guiding principle for collective action.

Modi tackled global issues, highlighting the demand for tangible solutions in the global economy, disparities, security, and more. He stressed that the 21st century is crucial for forging a new path and innovatively addressing enduring problems.

The Prime Minister recognized the trust gap due to the Ukraine conflict, urging G20 leaders to unite and foster trust. He urged G20 solidarity, emphasizing a people-focused approach to fulfilling global responsibilities in addressing pressing issues.

PM Modi’s notable proposal: African Union’s permanent G20 membership for increased representation and inclusivity within the group. This proposal aligns with India’s commitment to a more equitable global order.

In his opening words, PM Modi expressed sympathy for Morocco’s earthquake victims, pledging India’s assistance and solidarity.

As G20 president since December 1, 2022, India organized meetings across the nation as part of its G20 presidency duties. The New Delhi summit showcases India’s dedication to global problem-solving, emphasizing unity, trust, and a people-focused approach to inclusive solutions.
