Shambu Soni: A Harmonious Devotion At Ajmer’s Dargah

Hailing from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, 60-year-old Shambu Soni has enraptured devotees at Ajmer’s Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty in Rajasthan. Despite a modest upbringing, Shambu’s passion for Sufi music and the duff drove him to follow his heart.

At 30, he made a life-changing choice to move to Ajmer, where he has since performed soulful qawwalis for two hours each morning at the Dargah’s Payetri side. His unwavering dedication and melodic artistry have won him the respect and admiration of devotees and custodians, making him an integral part of Dargah’s spiritual resonance.
