Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa: India’s Unity in Diversity Exemplified in Akshardham Visit

Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and President of the International Islamic Halal Organisation expressed his admiration for India’s Unity in Diversity during his five-day visit. At the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in New Delhi, he marvelled at the art, architecture, culture, and values, which he believed exemplified India’s harmonious coexistence.

Al-Issa was particularly impressed by the stone parikrama’s design and meaningful carvings, and the Sanskruti Vihar boat ride’s depiction of Vedic culture’s timeless message: “The world is one family.” His interaction with Swami Brahmaviharidas fostered dialogue on shared human values and the pursuit of global peace.

Al-Issa was also delighted to learn about the upcoming BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, destined to be a spiritual oasis for global harmony. The visit concluded with the presentation of a special golden Amrut Kalash and a miniature model of Akshardham as tokens of peace and love.
