Haryana Nuh Violence: Presidential Awardee Mamta Singh Saves 2,500 Lives

Haryana’s ADGP for Law and Order, Mamta Singh, praised for rescuing 2,500 people, including 1,000 women and children, trapped in Nallahad temple during Brij Mandal Yatra clashes in Nuh district. Singh’s prompt response was crucial in averting a potentially dire situation.

Mamta Singh was stationed at IRB Bhondsi when the unrest unfolded in Nuh district. In response to a distress message, Mamta Singh led police to Nuh to address escalating clashes. Chaos awaited them with burning vehicles, hostile mob, and gunfire.

Mamta Singh fearlessly led police to rescue stranded individuals at Nallahad temple amid intense clashes. The well-armed police bravely evacuated occupants to Gurugram via Nuh police lines. Beyond the valiant rescue operation, Mamta Singh, known for her unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order, partnered with ADGP M. Ravi Kiran to inspect riot-affected areas in Nuh.

Mamta Singh’s exemplary service did not go unnoticed. Her outstanding contributions to law enforcement earned her a prestigious presidential award on Republic Day in 2022. As a member of the 1996 batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS), her dedication and resolute actions inspire the force and the community alike.

In the face of adversity, Mamta Singh’s leadership and courageous efforts stand as a testament to the unwavering commitment of law enforcement professionals, ensuring safety and security even in the most challenging circumstances.
