President Droupadi Murmu Commends Women’s Empowerment and Indian Navy’s Role

President Droupadi Murmu recently addressed the ‘ASMITA’ event organized by the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) at the Manik Shah Centre in the national capital. She expressed that women can thrive and progress independently, showcasing their capabilities to the world and emphasizing their crucial role in society and the nation.

President Murmu highlighted the remarkable journey of women’s advancement, acknowledging their determination, willpower, and strength as driving forces for continuous progress. She recognized their substantial contribution to half the country’s population and praised women’s achievements across diverse domains, including missiles and music.

President Murmu’s mantra “hum kisi se kum nahin” highlights women’s confidence and resilience, asserting equality and strength in society. She celebrated their accomplishments and urged them to take pride in their capabilities and achievements.

Formerly, President Murmu inaugurated ‘INS Vindhyagiri’ warship at GRSE’s facility by the Hooghly River, Kolkata, emphasizing India’s maritime prowess. During this occasion, she lauded the vital role of the Indian Navy in safeguarding the country’s maritime interests. She commended the Navy’s efforts in countering piracy, armed robbery, drug smuggling, illegal human migration, and natural disasters.

AWWA, a non-profit aiding army families, hosted the ‘ASMITA’ event, fostering well-being and support for military personnel’s loved ones. Archana Pande, the wife of Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande, is the organization’s president.

President Droupadi Murmu’s speeches inspire empowerment, highlighting women’s pivotal role in societal progress and their importance across various domains. Her recognition of women’s achievements and the Indian Navy’s dedication echoes the nation’s commitment to equality, progress, and security.
