Pushpa 2: The Rule – breaking all barriers
Released on December 5 with tremendous hype, Blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule was all set to break records with the first weekend collection proven with ₹1614 crores collections at the box office. It was not merely a first weekend success, but transcendence to the proceeding weeks in other regions. Blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD was Prabhas’s comeback story after his disappointing movies like Saaho and Adipurush. This sci-fi epic is declared as a super hit raked ₹646 crores in India while going past ₹1042 crores worldwide.

Blockbuster Devara: Part One, where Junior NTR leading a smuggling community, had traces of epic drama to its framework. The strategy of using comparisons with the Bollywood Magnum Opus Baahubali seemed to work both ways, yet the power drama did not disappoint viewers.
Devara grossed ₹92 crores in India and ₹421 crores worldwide. While It has received a mixed response, its nerve-wracking performances alone made it one of the notable releases of 2024.

The Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T): A Star-Driven Success
Vijay starrer Blockbuster G.O.A.T formed a benchmark as it offered not only a great story but also a chance to watch Vijay on screen before he decided to retire. It was loved by people of all age groups from children to the young and the old and earned ₹252 crores in India and ₹457 crores internationally.
Despite the critical reception, Kollywood made a massive event out of Vijay’s 60th film with fans rushing to theatres to get an emotional and physical high, which was lit in theatres in the year 2024.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: A Festive Treat
After the tremendous hit of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 fans were eagerly waiting for this sequel movie of Blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Starring Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 did not disappoint. Audiences enjoyed the suspense but moreover the humour that the film contained.

Rohit Shetty’s action-entertainer Blockbuster Singham Again was up against Deewana Mastana’s sequel Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. However, there remains stiff competition within the week, and yet this film with Ajay Devgn donning the lead character was able to stand its ground.

Superhuman Multi Universe Kickstarter Blockbuster Hanuman: Prashant Varma’s comic-cum-superhero universe flick was a low impact film that still left a mark. With ₹295 crores it collected worldwide the film has set the path for it’s sequel Jai Hanuman with Rakshit Shetty.
This success story shows that Indians can have charming superheroes with stunning and extraordinary tales regardless of the budget, and there is a new start in Indian superheroes.
