Mohammad Iqbal’s Inspiring Story of Overcoming Physical Disability to Run a Successful Stationery Business

Mohammad Iqbal is a living inspiration to many people around the world. Despite his physical disability, he has never let anything stop him from achieving his goals. His determination and hard work have helped him build a successful stationery business he runs from his tricycle. His story serves as a reminder that physical disabilities do not limit a person’s ability.

Background:

Mohammad Iqbal was born in Kulgram, a small village in Kashmir, India. He was diagnosed with polio at a young age, which left him with a permanent disability. Despite his condition, he was determined to lead an everyday life and pursue his dreams.

Starting the Business:

After completing his education, Mohammad Iqbal sought ways to support himself and his family. He realized there was a high demand for stationery items in his village, but no shops were nearby. He saw an opportunity to fill this gap and started his own business.

However, starting a business took a lot of work for him. He did not have enough money to rent a shop, and his disability made it difficult for him to travel long distances. But he did not let these obstacles discourage him. Instead, he came up with a unique solution to overcome them.

Running a ‘Mobile’ Stationery on His Tricycle:

Mohammad Iqbal started a mobile stationery shop he could run from his tricycle. He modified his tricycle by adding shelves and cabinets to store his stationery items. He also painted the tricycle with bright colors and decorated it with posters to attract customers.

Mohammad Iqbal could easily travel from one village to another with his mobile shop, selling stationery items to students and other customers. He would start early in the morning and travel several kilometers to reach his customers. He was able to offer a wide range of stationery items, including pens, pencils, notebooks, erasers, sharpeners, and more.

Overcoming Challenges:

Running a mobile stationery business on a tricycle took work for Mohammad Iqbal. He faced several challenges, including rough roads, bad weather, and competition from other vendors. However, he did not let these challenges stop him. He worked hard and came up with innovative ways to attract more customers.

One of his strategies was to offer discounts and freebies to his customers. He would also listen to his customers’ feedback and suggestions and use them to improve his business. His dedication and commitment to his business paid off, and he gradually built a loyal customer base.

Expanding the Business:

As his business grew, Mohammad Iqbal decided to expand his operations. He started offering other services, such as photocopying and printing, to meet the growing demand from his customers. He also hired a helper to assist him in running the business.

Today, Mohammad Iqbal’s mobile stationery shop is a well-known business in Kulgram and the surrounding villages. He has inspired many people with his determination and hard work and continues to be a role model for people with disabilities.

Conclusion:

Mohammad Iqbal’s inspiring story is a testament to the power of determination and hard work. Despite his physical disability, he has built a successful business that has helped him support his family and inspire others. His story is a reminder that physical disabilities do not limit a person’s ability, and anything is possible with the right mindset and determination.
