Tahira Rizvi, extinguishing the final flame of Lucknow and Kashmir’s joint civilization

A well-known social worker, preacher, and director of several madrasas, Tahira Rizvi, has been counted among the leading women of Lucknow who dedicated their lives to the service of people and the education and training of poor and underprivileged children. Now she is no more in this world. She died here. Tahira has left behind a void that seems impossible to fill.

Like her late husband Sageer Rizvi, Tahira Rizvi also considered public service the most prominent worship. Her personality is used to represent the standard civilization of Kashmir and Lucknow.

Tahira Rizvi was the owner of such a personality, who performed exceptional and essential services to promote Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb. She repeatedly said in her discourses and speeches that Lucknow’s culture, language, literature, status, elegance, decency, ethics, dignity, and decorum are the gifts of the Nawabs, or the people of Lucknow, and not of Lucknow.

Along with this, Lucknowi Tehzeeb has extraordinary support from Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims. Pandit Brij Narayan Chakbast, Pandit Daya Shankar Naseem, Pandit Anand Narayan Mulla and Pandit Ratnath Sarshar are many such names who gave Lucknow a distinct identity in terms of literature, politics, and cultural values.

According to Tahira Rizvi, Kashmiris are necessary to tell the whole tale of Lucknow’s literary tradition and cultural heritage.

In her works, Pandit Ratnath Sarsar has openly presented the activities of Lucknow’s civilization, culture, and factors, such as religious harmony, tolerance, unity, brotherhood, and peace.

It is said that Lucknow’s scholarly literature and urban environment are incomplete without the spirit of Kashmiris. History shows that when Nawab Asif-ud-Daula left Faizabad and made Lucknow the capital of Awadh in 1774, most of the Kashmiri families, after saying goodbye to Faizabad, moved to Lucknow and then settled here.

Nawab Asif-ud-Daula provided traditional land for the residents of Kashmiri Pandits, built the best temples and houses, and gave jagirs for patronage, resulting in an enjoyable and meaningful environment in Lucknow, which led to the growth of the city. Happened. There is a fragrance of Kashmiriness in the air.
