Jamia Millia Islamia: A Microcosm of India, Says Vice Chancellor

Jamia Millia Islamia, the Central University located in Delhi, has been described by its first female Vice Chancellor, Professor Najma Akhtar, as a microcosm of India. The university, which is also a prominent minority institution, holds admission tests across India to ensure that students from all regions have an opportunity to study on its campus.

Professor Najma Akhtar emphasizes that the Jamia Millia Islamia University has gone to great lengths to preserve India’s diversity and ensure that students from far-flung areas feel at home.
