Jamaat-ul-Raeen: A Beautiful Act of Unity

The Jamaat-ul-Raeen conducted a touching gesture as members of this Muslim traders’ organization from West Bengal funded the weddings of five Hindu women who lacked the financial means for their ceremonies. The wedding happened at Machhwa Phool Mandi in Kolkata while traders from the area decided to keep their shops closed in support of the occasion. The flower market operates with substantial daily business yet residents united to accomplish something larger than normal market operations.

Jamaat-ul-Raeen Promoting Unity

This program initiated by Muhammad Sohrab during his presidency of Jamaat-ul-Raeen specifically aimed to assist poor female families during their weddings last year. The organizer views these activities as instruments that foster positive relations between various social groups. The organization funded weddings with donated money which proved that people from different backgrounds unite to offer aid.

Sohrab explained the organizational effort began by supporting Muslim families before accepting the first Hindu request from donors that prompted an open acceptance policy. Family financial stability served as the sole criterion to choose potential brides while religion had no role in their selection.

Arrangements and Transparency

The organization both organized all wedding-related services and gave dowries to Hindu brides. The dowries contained the Bhagavad Gita alongside an almirah and bed with blankets and shawl as well as saree and sandals and kitchen utensils and multiple other household items. Moreover the organization provided meals which were distributed to the relatives of both the bride and groom during this time.

The organization provided public disclosure about the five Hindu women who married their grooms at different locations. Muhammad Sohrab explained how society must treat every religion with equal respect since it promotes harmony among the community members. The initiative involves additional members such as Akram together with Muhammad Mumtaz and Shahid Ahmad Khan as well as Bilal Ahmad and Aamir Ishtiaq and Sanjay Sarkar.
