Reebu Hassan, a die-hard fan of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was inspired by his film ‘Chak De India’ to take up Hockey as a serious passion. Her journey from a movie buff to a two-time national-level player and a much sought-after coach in the Kashmir valley is inspiring.
Reebu Hassan watched ‘Chak De India’ nearly a hundred times and was deeply inspired by SRK’s celluloid adaptation of Indian women’s Hockey team’s success. It motivated her to take up Hockey as a serious passion, much against her parents’ wishes, who wanted her to learn martial arts.
