Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid heartfelt tributes to the visionary Jan Sangh leader, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, on his birth anniversary. Modi took to X (formerly Twitter) to commemorate the day, highlighting Upadhyaya’s profound contributions to India and his enduring legacy.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, born on September 25, 1916, was a prominent leader of the Jan Sangh, the precursor to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His life and work were dedicated to the service of the nation, and he played a pivotal role in shaping India’s political landscape.

One of Upadhyaya’s most enduring contributions was the concept of “Antych he chamioconcept, ned tirelessly. His vision aimed to ensure that the benefits of development and progress reached every citizen, leaving no one behind.

Prime Minister Modi, in his tribute, emphasized that the personality and work of Deendayal Upadhyaya continue to inspire the people of India. Upadhyaya’s unwavering commitment to the service of the nation and his dedication to the welfare of all citizens remain a guiding light for the country.

As India pays homage to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary, his principles of selfless service, inclusive development, and empowerment of the disadvantaged continue to resonate with the nation. His legacy lives on, serving as a reminder of the values and ideals that shape the path toward a more robust and equitable India.
