Sufism: A Syncretic Culture Promoting Love and Peace

According to Dhritabrata Bhattacharjya Tato, author of “Sufism – Its Spirit & Essence,” Sufism is a syncretic culture that values pre-Islamic local traditions across nations. Tato emphasizes that the concept of multiplicity lies at the core of Sufism.

Speaking on the Awaz-The Voice podcast, Tato describes Sufism as one of the most liberal philosophies, essential not only for India but also globally, as it serves as a central theme for discussions on love and peace.

Tato highlights the relevance of Sufism in today’s world, urging everyone to explore and advocate for Sufism, peace, love, and harmony, especially amidst the proliferation of weapons designed to harm humanity.
