Zeenat Parveen: Vegetable Vendor’s Daughter Becomes State Topper in Jharkhand

Zeenat Parveen, the daughter of a vegetable vendor from Sataknadu village near Ranchi, has achieved an extraordinary feat by topping the 12th-class exams in the state of Jharkhand. Despite her humble background, Zeenat scored an impressive 94.40% marks in the Arts stream, leaving everyone in awe of her dedication and hard work.

A Journey of Unwavering Focus

Zeenat studied at the Government School in Kanke, about 12 km from the capital city of Ranchi. She attributed her success to her unwavering focus on studies and her ability to avoid distractions. “I neither use social media nor watch television to focus on my studies. Nothing distracts me, for I know that I have to focus on my studies and do well in the examination,” Zeenat said.

She revealed that she revised the syllabus multiple times and attempted mock tests, which played a crucial role in her becoming the state topper. Although Zeenat was confident about scoring good marks, she never imagined topping the state.

Inspiring Aspirations and Parental Support

Zeenat’s remarkable achievement has inspired her to aim higher. She aspires to become an IAS officer and wants to prepare for the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exams. Her father, Sabir Ansari, who sells vegetables on a pushcart in their village to make ends meet, expressed his pride and determination to support his daughter’s education to the fullest.

“My parents work hard to support me in my studies. I want to work hard and make them happy,” Zeenat said, acknowledging the sacrifices her parents have made for her education. Sabir Ansari believes that his daughter’s result has given meaning to his struggles, and he will ensure that she can study as much as she wants.

Zeenat Parveen’s story is a testament to the power of determination, focus, and parental support. Her success serves as an inspiration to countless students from underprivileged backgrounds, proving that with hard work and perseverance, any obstacle can be overcome, and dreams can become a reality.
