Dr Faizan Mustafa: A Legal Expert’s Inspiring Journey

Dr Faizan Mustafa, born in Uttar Pradesh, has become a big name in Indian law without a special LLM degree or PhD. He studied History and Law at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and later got degrees in Criminal and Copyright Law. His teacher, Professor Virendra Singh Rekhi, inspired him to love Constitutional law.

Dr. Mustafa has won important scholarships like Fullbright and Commonwealth. He also studied Human Rights Law in France. He helped create new Indian criminal laws that replaced old British laws in July 2024.

A Career Dedicated to Law and Education

Dr. Mustafa has had many important jobs in law schools. He was the Dean of Law at AMU and the Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR, a top law university in Hyderabad. As AMU’s Registrar, he started new courses like IPR Law and Tourism Laws.

Now, Dr. Mustafa runs a YouTube channel called Legal Awareness Web (LAW) Series. He uses this to make difficult legal ideas easy for everyone to understand. He believes the Indian Constitution is very advanced, even in 2024, but people don’t fully understand or follow it.

More Than Just a Legal Expert

Dr. Mustafa is not just about law. He loves cooking Mughlai food, especially for guests. He sees cooking as a way to relax and be creative.

Music is another big part of his life. He enjoys Sufi music and old Bollywood songs. He remembers happily listening to the Kamil Irshad Show on All India Radio’s Urdu Service when he was young.

Dr. Mustafa’s story shows how someone can become successful in law through hard work and passion, even without fancy degrees. His work in teaching, writing laws, and explaining legal ideas to the public has made him an important person in Indian law. He continues to work towards helping people understand and appreciate India’s laws and Constitution.
