India’s Amazing Performance at Paris Paralympics

India’s para-athletes have done something incredible in Paris. They’ve won more medals than ever before at the Paralympics! So far, they’ve got 20 medals – 3 gold, 7 silver, and 10 bronze. This beats their previous best of 19 medals from Tokyo in 2021. And guess what? They might win even more!

Standout Performances

Many Indian athletes have shone brightly in Paris. Avani Lekhara won India’s first gold in shooting. She was the best in the women’s 10m air rifle event. Sumit Antil defended his javelin throw title, breaking his own record twice! In badminton, Nitesh beat a tough opponent to win gold in men’s singles.

Other stars include Nishad Kumar (silver in high jump), Yogesh Kathuniya (silver in discus throw), and Preeti Pal (two bronze medals in running events). The archery team of Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi also won bronze.

A Wide Range of Medals

Indians have won medals in many different sports:

1. Shooting: Gold for Avani, silver for Manish, and bronze for Mona and Rubina.

2. Athletics: Gold for Sumit, silver for Nishad and Sharad, bronze for Mariyappan, Ajeet, Sundar, and Deepthi.

3. Badminton: Gold for Nitesh, silver for Suhas and Thulasi Mathi, bronze for Manisha and Nithya.

The para-athletes have made India proud in shooting, running, jumping, throwing, and racquet sports. Their success shows how talented and hardworking they are.

This performance is a big step forward for para-sports in India. It proves that with the right support and training, Indian para-athletes can be among the best in the world. The whole country is cheering for them, hoping they’ll win even more medals before the Paralympics end.
