Spreading Love and Harmony: Celebrating Eid and Navratri Together

In a heartwarming display of unity and brotherhood, the Pink City of Jaipur witnessed a beautiful gesture when Eid-ul-Fitr. After Muslims had showered petals on a Hindu religious procession earlier, the love was reciprocated in equal measure. As thousands of Muslim men finished offering namaz at the Eidgah on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, they received a shower of petals from a drone flying overhead and from local BJP leaders on a nearby rooftop.

Promoting Brotherhood and Diversity

The city’s chief Qazi, Khalid Usmani, presided over the special Eid namaz and emphasized the importance of continuing the tradition of brotherhood. He urged people to live together with love, as Hindus and Muslims have for centuries, and to resist hate-mongers. Usmani also appealed to the people to exercise their right to vote in the forthcoming elections and support candidates and parties working for the education and employment of Muslims.

Celebrating Unity Amidst Diversity

In New Delhi, the Rashtriya Muslim Manch, an affiliate of the RSS, organized a Diversity Milan to celebrate the spirit of Eid and Chaitra Navratri, which coincided with this year. Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar prayed for brotherhood, love, and an India free from riots, untouchability, poverty, and unemployment.

Muslim Rashtriya Manch spokesperson Shahid Saeed highlighted the event as an example of India’s diverse culture and the Forum’s unwavering commitment to promoting unity amidst diversity. Youth leaders Shalini Ali and Bilal Ur Rehman underlined the platform’s commitment to promoting inter-religious harmony and understanding, transcending religious boundaries.

During the celebrations, a meticulous arrangement was made for the distribution of sattvik (non-vegetarian and non-spicy) dishes, carefully prepared according to traditions and with reverence. This allowed devotees to enjoy the festivities while respecting each other’s beliefs and practices.
