For over three decades, Hamid Iqbal Siddiqui, the founder and chairman of Quiz Time, Mumbai, has been on a mission to promote the Urdu language and education in the vibrant megacity. Through his organization, he has conducted more than 275 general knowledge quiz shows, captivating the hearts and minds of students with his infectious enthusiasm and love for learning.

The Pied Piper of Urdu Education

Affectionately known as “Uncle Hamid Iqbal” to the students he inspires, Siddiqui’s arrival at schools is greeted with a chorus of excitement. Children flock to him, chanting his name, eagerly anticipating the knowledge and joy he brings to their lives. His infectious energy and passion for education have earned him the moniker “Superstar of Urdu Students,” and The Times of India has honored him with the title of “City Angel.”

Fostering Well-Rounded Minds and Bright Futures

Siddiqui’s unwavering belief in the importance of general knowledge extends far beyond the classroom. He understands that a well-rounded education, encompassing arts, science, sports, technology, politics, culture, history, and current affairs, plays a crucial role in a child’s success in life. By introducing general knowledge competitions from an early age, he aims to instill a lifelong love for learning and prepare students for the challenges of competitive exams and life beyond academia.

In a world where language and culture often face challenges, Hamid Iqbal Siddiqui stands as a beacon of hope, tirelessly working to sustain and improve the quality of Urdu education. Through his innovative approaches, such as introducing e-learning and organizing grand-scale events like the Annual General Knowledge Quiz Competition ‘Dhamal,’ he inspires and empowers students to embrace their linguistic heritage while equipping them with the tools to thrive in a constantly evolving world.
