Mohammad Akbar Ansari’s life has never been easy. The fact that he lacks both hands has been with him since childhood, but he never let it become a weakness. He writes on the blackboard with his feet, flips through books, and teaches children with all his heart. Mohammad Akbar Ansari says that education made him self-reliant. He passed his matriculation exam in 1999, completed his intermediate degree in 2001, and then graduated from IGNOU. During his studies, he faced many challenges—physical, social, and mental—but he never gave up.
What is his demand from the government?
Since 2005, Mohammad Akbar Ansari has been teaching at the Urdu Primary School in Gaydehra. He has been imparting knowledge to children for nearly twenty years, but even today, he is a contract teacher. His one request to the government is that his job be made permanent. Mohammad Akbar Ansari also took the TET exam. He needed 78 marks to pass, but he fell short by four or five marks. He believes there should be separate passing marks and rules for the disabled.
Hope in the Eyes of the Children
The school children consider their teacher, Mohammad Akbar Ansari, not just a mentor but a living inspiration. His student, Anushka Praveen, says, “Sir doesn’t have both hands, yet he works harder than us. We learn from him that in life, one should work hard, not make excuses.” School teacher Sirajul Ansari says that Mohammad Akbar Ansari is the pride of the entire school. He is not just a teacher, but a living example of courage, struggle, and humanity. His life is an inspiration for anyone who accepts their limitations as defeat.
Courage Not Broken Even in the Face of Taunts
Mohammad Akbar Ansari says that he has had to endure taunts and jokes from people many times during his life. When he walked down the street, people would look at him strangely. But he never let these things affect his heart. He says, “Life is certainly difficult without both hands, but not impossible.”
Mohammad Akbar Ansari’s story proves that the body may be weak, but the will never is. He doesn’t just write words on the blackboard with his feet, but he also engraves letters of hope, confidence, and dreams in the lives of children.
