Muslim Family’s Gesture of Unity: Free Ganesh Idols for Hindu Festival

In a heartwarming display of Gesture of Unity, the Mulani family from Natepute town in Solapur district, Maharashtra, distributed 101 Ganesh idols for free to those wishing to celebrate Ganeshotsav. This Muslim family’s gesture aims to strengthen bonds between Hindus and Muslims in the area.

The Mulani brothers – Shahid, Sikandar, and Naushad – along with their families, organised this initiative through their Raza Foundation. In Maharashtra, Ganeshotsav is the biggest community celebration, with people from all religions participating enthusiastically.

The Mulani Family: Bridging Communities

Shahid Mulani, a well-known businessman in the area, owns two popular hotels named Sagar. Despite his busy schedule managing the hotels, which employ over 50 locals, Shahid dedicates time to social service and promoting Hindu-Muslim unity.

The Mulani family actively participates in Hindu festivals alongside their own celebrations. They engage in charitable work not only during Eid but also during festivals like Dussehra and Diwali. This inclusive approach has earned them respect and appreciation from the local community.

Impact and Future Plans

Shahid explained their motivation: “We’re trying to maintain equality towards all religions. To foster religious harmony and share in the joy of our Hindu brothers, we decided to give free Ganesh idols this Ganeshotsav. Ganpati is close to everyone’s heart, so we believe this small effort will increase unity in society.”

The Mulani brothers’ act of generosity has become a talking point in the area, with many praising their efforts to promote interfaith understanding. Their Raza Foundation continues to undertake various initiatives aimed at bringing different communities together.

This gesture serves as a powerful example of how small acts of kindness and inclusivity can help build stronger, more harmonious communities. As Maharashtra celebrates Ganeshotsav, the Mulani family’s initiative reminds everyone of the importance of respecting and embracing different faiths in India’s diverse cultural landscape.
