India’s 2024-25 Budget: A Plan for Growth and Welfare

The new 2024-25 Budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman aims to create more jobs and help businesses grow. The government wants to work with private companies to create more job opportunities. They offer help with wages, internships in big companies, and support for women workers. This should lead to more jobs for people.

For new businesses, the budget makes it easier to get money. They’ve doubled the amount of Mudra loans to Rs 20 lakh per person. This will help more people start their businesses and make India a top place for startups. The budget also focuses on teaching people new skills. This will help workers get better jobs and earn more money.

 Building Better Infrastructure

The government plans to spend a lot of money on building things like roads, houses, and improving cities and villages. They’re putting aside Rs 11.1 lakh crore for this, which is the most in 26 years. This will help make cities better places to live and work and improve life in rural areas.

Managing Money and Taxes

The government is trying to be careful with money. They plan to reduce the country’s debt (called fiscal deficit) to 4.9% next year. This is good for India’s financial health.

They’re not changing taxes much, which is good for businesses. But they’re making the new tax system more attractive by offering more deductions and lower tax rates. They’re also making it easier for companies to make things in India. The budget also talks about taking care of the environment while growing the economy.

Overall, this budget tries to make the economy stronger, create more jobs, and take care of people’s needs. It aims to help India grow while also looking after the poor, women, young people, and farmers.
