Annually, one of the oldest and popular church in Srinagar known as Holy Family Catholic Church, located at Maulana Azad Road never failed to hold a celebration that put light to the establishment and foster unity between two dividing fractions, proving Islamic governance as one nation.
With people shaking hands and sharing smiles, the smell of foods coming out of the kitchen and the sound of happy carols ringing within the facility, patients and staff of all ages celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ. It ponders over how God in giving the world Jesus – the natural symbol of Christmas – brought light to a world which is depicted as being enveloped in darkness. It was clear that when Christ came into the world, strikes a turning point in such that people could literally rise over them.
